Headshots for Web Designer Kelly Kemp

Recently we welcomed the lovely Kelly Kemp into the studio to do some new personal branding photos for her rebrand!

Hi Kelly! What do you do and for whom?

I'm a branding and WordPress web designer for coaches, consultants, therapists and other women who need an online presence for their business.

I help women who want to feel fabulous and fearless in the online space, but who are, at the moment, feeling small, and stuck, and in need of support.

I help them to develop their brand identity and the visual elements of that, as well as creating beautiful, but functional websites that convert.

I also provide online business tech strategy and support, for example, email marketing, courses and memberships.

Why did you need new photos?

I was rebranding my own business as I wanted to level up.

I've never had professional photos before, and I knew that if I'm encouraging women to be fabulous, I needed some fabulous images of my own to show what's possible!

I wanted some photos to go with my new brand colours and image - the animal print is a theme!

I hoped that by having professional images, I would be taken more seriously by women in business who are at a transitional stage themselves.

Did you have any worries or anxieties before your shoot?

I'm very uncomfortable on camera. I'm self-conscious about my weight, my teeth, my double chin... you name it!

I was worried I wouldn't look like 'me' - too made-up, too forced and unnatural. However, Rosie's carefully considered process and natural, friendly manner meant that I didn't need to be worried!

We had so much fun on the shoot, laughing and dancing, that I almost forgot I was nervous, and any awkwardness went away pretty quickly once we got going!

I'd seen Rosie's work on social media and I just adored the vibrancy in her images! I'm a big lover of colour, so these photos just spoke to me. I looked into what was involved in a shoot and saw the VIP package, which looked like such a fun experience! I set a goal to hire Rosie when I was ready. And then, the stars aligned...!

What stood out to you as exceptional about our work together?

I love, love, LOVE the onboarding process! I know Rosie has worked hard on this, and it shows. For someone like me, nervous and camera-shy, to have a well-thought-out sequence of emails and videos to explain the entire process and give hints and tips was invaluable. It really helped to calm my fears and I was so excited for the day to arrive, rather than worrying.

Rosie and her team work magic! I felt much more at ease than I thought I would. I love the special touches, such as the yummy food, personal playlist, and having my hair and makeup done professionally was such a treat.

Rosie is a real professional, and it shows. She really considered my branding when creating backgrounds for my shoot, and the kinds of images I might need for my website and social media.

What results have you achieved since working with me?

I've launched my new brand and website and have had so many wonderful comments, especially about my photos! I feel so much more confident - fabulous and fearless! I'm looking to do some PR and now that I have professional images I can send out when pitching, I'm more willing to put myself out there.

What would you say to someone else who was thinking about hiring me?

If you want photos that capture your vibrant, fun side, you need Rosie. She knows exactly how to get the best shots, both posed and more natural.

It wasn't just a photoshoot, it really was an 'experience day' and I did feel like a VIP!

I am so happy with my final images and I couldn't wait to get them on my website and shared with the world; Rosie gave me confidence I didn't know I needed!

Thank you so much Kelly for sharing your experience with everyone!
