Soft Blue and Navy Business Pics with Marketing Consultant Lauren Webb

Chatting with my clients and making them smile whilst photographing them is one of the best parts of my job - I love to get a photo that feels raw and authentic so that it shows the real personality of each individual. However from time to time I may end up sharing something either a little too odd, or a little too personal.

I’m sure Lauren knows what I’m talking about.

Oh,

You can also find out as it was all documented on video….oh well…

Introduce yourself and what you do!

My name is Lauren Webb and I am the founder and director of Roscoe Communications - I run a marketing and communications consultancy based in Cornwall. I work with businesses in the South West to provide strategic marketing support that fits your team, your brief and your budget. I work with them to bring the additional strategic skills and experience they need to help them deliver on successful marketing campaigns. I have worked with a client list that includes the Eden Project, St Michael's Mount and Tate St Ives amongst others.

What have been your biggest achievements/wins or what are you most proud of in your career?

I’m really proud to be running my own business, and to have grown year on year - and for the business to have survived during a global pandemic! My business has grown and evolved really naturally through word-of-mouth recommendations, and I think one of the things I am most proud of is my professional reputation and the fact that I do come so highly recommended by the clients I've worked with. I'm really proud of my client list too - I've developed some really good working relationships with some incredible people and I've worked with some of the most recognisable names in the South West.

Do you have any upcoming projects you would like to talk about?

I'm working with the Eden Project Communities team at the moment on a really great project, delivering on the marketing collateral they need to support The Big Jubilee Lunch this year. Their annual Big Lunch campaign is the UK's annual celebration to give thanks to neighbours and communities and a great way to bring people together - and this year it's part of HM The Queen's official Platinum Jubilee celebrations. I'm also working with Hall for Cornwall, the county's biggest performance venue, to deliver on marketing campaigns for their Spring programme. After a long closure while the theatre underwent a massive transformation, it's so good to be supporting live theatre in Cornwall again.

Why did you need new photos?

I didn't have any professional photos, and was using holiday snaps or selfies on my website - it didn't feel like quite the right tone as my reputation and client list were growing. I had the photos taken as part of a wider branding overhaul for my business, looking at trying to promote myself as effectively as I do my clients! It's too easy to neglect your own branding when you're working hard for other people.

Where and how will you use your new photos?

The new photos are for use on my website, on social media and to accompany any articles I write or am featured in.

What are your brand words and how do you want to come across in your photos?

I'm helping tourism, arts and culture organisations in the South West make an impact. I want to people to trust me, to recognise that I am experienced and effective, to see me as approachable, honest and flexible in my approach. I wanted my photos to show me in a way that reflected that.

What do you specifically like about Rosie’s work?

I have always liked seeing her photos come up on LinkedIn - the colour has always been a joy, so eye catching and different from the usual professional photos. I liked the informality of them as well.

How was your experience? What was your favourite part?

The experience was great - a little overwhelming at times, as I am quite shy about having my picture taken and felt incredibly awkward in front of the camera. But Rosie and the team worked so hard to put me at ease, and the little extra thoughtful details were so appreciated.

Thanks so much Lauren!
